Exploring Force and Motion at Historic Yates Mill

Historic Yates Mill County Park, featuring Wake County’s last remaining operable water-powered mill and 174-acres of diverse natural areas, is an exciting learning environment full of interactive exhibits and hands-on fun for individuals and groups of all ages.

The park offers unique experiences year round, with educational programs and field trip opportunities covering agricultural heritage, environmental resources and local history. The 18th century mill is open and available for guided tours from March to November.
