NATIONAL PET WEEK AT HANDS ON!

Hands On!, the Children's Museum in downtown Hendersonville

Join Hands On!, the Children's Museum in downtown Hendersonville, as they celebrate National Pet Week. Challenge yourself to our special animal scavenger hunt and register to win a basket filled with pet goodies from our sponsors at the Etowah Valley Veterinary Hospital.

Also, plan to attend these special events. Tuesday, May 3, join us at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm for a presentation by the Blue Ridge Humane Society. Learn about pet training and care and meet an unusual pet! On Wednesday, May 4, at 10:30 am bring your favorite book to read to Oreo, a 12-year-old mixed breed dog who loves books, kids, and loving. Then, at 11:30 am, meet Callie. Callie is a hearing impaired Border Collie who has learned a special way to communicate with her owner. All programs for National Pet Week are free with $5 admission/free for members.

The mission of Hands On! is to provide "hands on" educational experiences that stimulate the imagination and motivate learning in a fun, safe environment.
